Which Insurance do you really need in Switzerland?
By Law, as soon as you become resident in Switzerland, you must subscribe a Swiss Health insurance.
The insurance is made up of two parts:
- The obligatory part “basic insurance”
- The optional part "the complementary"
- Private third-party insurance
Every school, and Land lord requires this insurance.
Private third-party insurance protects an insured person against any claims that might be made against him through legal measures in the matter of third-party liability. The insured person is covered as a private person, head of a household, dog owner, tenant of a flat, soldier, sportsman and so on. Excluded are damages caused by the insured person as the driver or user of a motor vehicle or in the context of some occupational activity..

Endowment insurance:
We propose as endowment insurance a choice of fund-linked life insurance, with a minimum guaranteed capital sum at the end of the contract.
Endowment insurance may be considered as the classic form of life insurance. In contrast to death-risk insurance, endowment insurance guarantees benefits not only in the event of premature death, but also where the insured person is still alive at the term of the contract. The premium financing endowment insurance comprises a part which covers the risk and costs and an appreciable part serving as a savings element. The insured person is freed from the obligation to pay premiums if he/she
becomes unable to work or disabled during the term of the insurance. The
insurance company takes over the remaining premium payments corresponding to the
insured person's level of disability. The insurance will continue without change.
The insured person is the contractual partner of an insurance company. He pays premiums and obtains in return the benefits specified in the contract in event of disability. Most of the time it is a disability pension (annuitiy) or a capital sum.

The first Pillar
AVS French abbreviations for"old-age and Survivor' Insurance".
AI French abbreviations for invalidity insurance
The old-age and survivors' insurance (AVS) has been in force since 1948
though there have been several revisions to it since then. Along with the AI, the AVS constitutes the first pillar of the Swiss triple-pillar system and is designed to provide a minimum standard of living. It is compulsory for all persons living and working in Switzerland. Eligible persons receive old-age and survivors' pensions as well as allowances for helplessness and auxiliary measures. Rightful claimants are all either insured persons or their survivors. Special arrangements apply to non-Swiss nationals.
The second Pillar
LPP French abbreviations for the "Federal Law on Occupational Benefit Plans concerning Old-Age, Survivors and Invalidity".
The LPP (Federal Law on Occupational Benefit Plans concerning Old-Age,
Survivors' and Invalidity) lays out the regulations for employees' occupational
pension plans - the compulsory 2nd pillar of the triple-pillar system. The aim of these plans - in conjunction with AH/AVS and IV/AI benefits - is to enable surviving dependants, the elderly and disabled persons to maintain a standard of living as close as possible to their previous standard. All employed persons subject to AHV/AVS contributions and with a minimum income fixed by the employer are covered. The main benefits provided by the LPP are payment of old-age pensions, widows' and orphans' pensions and invalidity pensions.

The Third Pillar
The third pillar is formed by voluntary personal pension plans. This supplements
the first and second pillars in accordance with personal needs. The third pillar
is subdivided into restricted (3a) pension plans and unrestricted (3b)
- Linked saving plans 3rd Pillar 3a:
We propose as saving plans insurance, a choice of fund-linked life insurance, with a minimum guaranteed capital sum at the end of the contract.
Linked savings plans (or restricted pension plans) are a way of saving for
retirement which provides tax privileges. They are designed to supplement
Pillars 1 and 2. Because the money saved must serve exclusively and irrevocably
as part of long-term savings, this form is described as "restricted". Due to the tax privileges inherent in such pension plans, restrictions are imposed on their conclusion, structure and disposition of claims, on the basis of legal provisions. As well as saving for retirement, provisions for death and disability may also be structured and combined in accordance with individual needs.t
- Non-linked saving plans 3rd Pillar 3b:
We propose as saving plans insurance, a choice of fund-linked life insurance, with a minimum guaranteed capital sum at the end of the contract.
Non-linked provision measures (or unrestricted pension plans) are designated as all personal pension measures taken as defined under Pillar 3b of the three-pillar system. Principal amongst them is life insurance, but they also include investments, the purchase of residential property, and so on..
We guarantee a capital at the end of the contract !!
